Goal of the Activity

Scuba diving offers a unique opportunity to delve into the depths of the underwater world, witnessing its beauty and fragility firsthand. With a focus on environmental protection, climate change, sustainability, and plastic pollution, a scuba diving day with Erasmus students aims to combine adventure with a deep understanding of the pressing issues affecting our marine ecosystems. This immersive experience not only fosters appreciation for the seas but also inspires a sense of responsibility and empowers participants to become advocates for change.

Description

Scuba Diving Day with Erasmus Students: Exploring the Seas and Protecting the Environment

We couldn't not propose this activity in our beautiful island which Sicily represents.

Wetsuits, masks, and tanks and we will be able to reach up to 5 meters deep with certified instructors! At the end you will receive a certified copy of your first diving!

2 days 40 people between international students and coordinator

A scuba diving day with Erasmus students provides an immersive and eye-opening experience that goes beyond adventure and recreation. By combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on exploration, participants gain a deep understanding of the challenges facing our marine ecosystems and the importance of individual and collective action. Through responsible diving practices and meaningful discussions, this experience empowers Erasmus students to become ambassadors for marine conservation, contributing to a sustainable future where our seas thrive and flourish.
Before entering the water, participants are reminded of the principles of responsible diving, which include avoiding touching or damaging marine organisms, maintaining buoyancy control to prevent unintentional impacts, and being mindful of their fin kicks to avoid disturbing the delicate marine environment. These guidelines ensure that the experience remains eco-friendly and respectful towards the marine life that inhabits these waters.

Embarking on a scuba diving adventure with Erasmus students, we dive into the underwater world, focusing on environmental protection, climate change, sustainability, and plastic pollution.

After a theoretical session on scuba diving equipment, communication underwater, and safety, we gather at a picturesque coastal location.

With certified instructors by our side, we enter the azure waters, chosen specifically to showcase marine life and highlight environmental challenges. As we descend, schools of colorful fish captivate our senses, reinforcing the need to protect this fragile ecosystem.

Through responsible diving practices and discussions, this experience empowers Erasmus students to become advocates for marine conservation. Together, we can create a sustainable future where our seas thrive and flourish.

The Erasmus students thank us left said that it has been onofbest experience of their life.
