Goal of the Activity

AIM: to come together, enjoy the city's beauty, and promote cultural exchange and friendship among its members

Description

A fantastic annual tradition: MATERA TRIP!

Matera is a stunning city known for its unique architecture and historical significance, particularly the Sassi di Matera, which are ancient cave dwellings carved into the cliffs.

ESN organizes a city tour and a nice trekking event among the hills of Matera, whichis a great way for lots of International Students in Southern Italy to come together, enjoy the city's beauty, and promote cultural exchange and friendship among its members.

Matera's picturesque streets, rock-cut architecture, and rich history make it an ideal location for such gatherings. Participants can explore the narrow alleys, visit historic sites, and immerse themselves in the local culture and traditions.

Additionally, trekking among the hills surrounding Matera offers a different perspective of the city and its breathtaking landscapes. It can be a physically challenging but rewarding experience, allowing participants to appreciate the natural beauty of the region.

Such events not only promote camaraderie among ESN sections and Erasmus, but also help international students and visitors connect with the region's history and culture.

Overall, it represents a wonderful tradition that combines adventure, culture, and community building in one of Italy's most captivating cities.
