ESN strives for inclusive mobility based on equity and on the needs of each individual. To achieve this goal, ESN has developed its own programmes and projects on the topic, raising awareness among international students and transforming them into more active citizens.
The goal of the activity is to motivate as many people as possible during the pandemic situation to go out, make some sports and reach together the amount of more then 1000 km. The motivation is that ESN Bonn donate xx Cents (will be updated before the event) for every achieved kilometer to the social organisation Save the Children to support less priveleged people in third world countries. The combination of an individual sporting activity during the lockdown and the fundraising for a charitable cause was the basis to connect the participants via social media. So the main target was to motivate international students and ESN Team members for a running activity and at the same time do something good for people in developing countries.
You can do the event where you want and when you want during the second weekend in May and furthermore during the health and well-being week (07.05.-09.05.). That´s why we want to invite all the ESN sections in Germany to participate.
The goal is to teach not only the incoming students but also ESNers around Europe, our language. At the end of these courses, they will be able to communicate in greek in their everyday life. At the same time, they will learn a little bit of greek culture and history.
The goal of the activity is to have a fun Quiz Night and to learn interesting facts about different European countries. As the event is a collaboration between different sections in six countries, we also make it possible to meet new people virtually and to gather new knowledge about the other countries.
A film that highlights the multiple benefits of associating with the mentally ill. This is a reminder that in this life there are also people who are mentally disturbed, but people with abilities and many possibilities.
The goal of the activity is to raise awareness about homeless persons and their reintegration process to the society. Moreover, participants are encouraged for feasible volunteering activities relevant to this important subject.
This activity was a part of Spring Social Inclusion Days 2021, an initiative that aims to advocate for inclusive mobility programmes, through activities that bring together students and members of local communities, in more than 42 countries.
We all know what homelessness is, we know that its numbers are increasing and we know the consequences that result from it. What we sometimes don’t know, is how to act upon it, how to bring awareness to it and how to make a difference in the community. As a part of the Social Inclusion Days, we wanted to share a few things that anyone can do to start making a local difference for people facing housing instability.
