The main objective was to increase the knowledge about environmental issues within ESN and to give as many ESNers as possible hints and ideas on how to implement the Environmental Sustainability cause within their sections.
The event consisted of a training on environmental issues and their implementation in ESN, which was carried out in collaboration with ESN Greece, ESN Turkey and ESN Netherlands. Within the event, there were some theoretical focuses (on SDGs and European Green Deal, on ecological footprint and sustainable lifestyle) and various moments of interaction and group workshops in break out rooms.
In detail, we carried out an activity on the definition of Environmental Sustainability from the point of view of the participants via JamBoard, a quiz activity through slido, and a workshop where participants, divided into groups through breakout rooms, had a topic to discuss some tasks related to the implementation of the Environmental Sustainability cause in a section (e.g. how to organise a fundraising event, how to turn a clean-up into a multi cause activity or how to create an online campaign on the occasion of FFF).
Finally, the event was enriched by the presentations of our guests, Legambiente Italy and WWF Turkey, which allowed us to build a network and give a different point of view to the participants.
