Escape to Vama Veche is a longstanding national event of ESN Romania, and the 2022 edition was the first one after a long break due to the pandemic, bringing together Erasmus students and ESNers at the hippie sea resort in Vama Veche. The theme of the event was Woodstock, as just like the festival, there were three days of peace, love and music.
Escape to Vama Veche 2022 included some established activities from the previous years that promote important causes of ESN, such as Health and Well-being (Beach Olympics), Environmental Sustainability (Beach cleaning), Culture (Flag parade). In this year's edition were added two events that promoted new causes of ESN: Social Inclusion (Bracelet Workshop) and Education and Youth/Health and Well-being (Mindfulness Workshop). This edition also included two novel, interesting activities for the participants: the Treasure Hunt in which the participants had the opportunity to discover the most beautiful places in Vama Veche and had some fun with the challenges from the checkpoints; the Bracelet Workshop in partnership with Asociația Magic where participants could test their DIY skills and help the community at the same time.
The 2022 edition had multiple commercial partnerships that benefited both the company/business (more exposure on social media/online, product feedback, promotion materials for the products) and the event: drinks for the coffee break and for the activities (Pepsi, Merlin`s, Sloop) and prizes for the winners of the activities (Estiverde, Jagua Tattoos).
