Italy

participants
The idea behind the organization of this weekend getaway stemmed from the desire of ESN Modena and Reggio Emilia and ESN Trento to create a unique event, never before carried out in collaboration between these two sections. Our goal was to offer Erasmus students the opportunity to discover one of Italy’s most breathtaking landscapes, especially in winter: the Brenta Dolomites.
This trip was designed to give participants a three-day mountain experience, not just in any mountains, but in a UNESCO World Heritage site. We believe that this journey was not only an opportunity for personal growth—both for international students and volunteers—but also a chance to engage in a variety of activities suitable for everyone. More importantly, it allowed Erasmus students from two separate sections to share unique moments together, fostering genuine human connections and forming lasting friendships.
The focus of the trip was on Italian culture, with a particular emphasis on Trentino’s traditions, while also promoting the local area in multiple ways.
The trip was an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, fun, and great company. We started with the journey to Dimaro, where we settled into the house and kicked off the weekend with ice skating. The first evening was relaxed, with time to unwind before diving into a lively "Back to 2000" party.
The next day, we headed to Madonna di Campiglio for a breathtaking snowshoeing experience, followed by a delicious traditional lunch in a mountain hut. The afternoon was all about après-ski fun before returning to Dimaro for some rest, dinner, and a festive Christmas party to wrap up the night.
On the final day, after tidying up and leaving the house, we made our way back to Trento, where we enjoyed the Christmas market and a city tour before saying our goodbyes. The weekend was packed with incredible moments, and the enthusiasm from everyone made it truly special.
