The aim of the event was to keep a relationship as strong as possible with the Erasmus students, even if we couldn’t meet physically. We wanted to make them live Urbino and a bit of Italy, even if they couldn’t do it in person.
We based the event on the idea of the “wheel of fortune”, which was proposed by a Newbie, to which we immediately agreed with.
We created this event as a sort of ending part of our “Culture Week” after a small Instagram campaign. We divided the exchange students in two groups, who challenged each other on the topics we decided: Italian language (dialects, synonyms, tongue twisters, ect..) cinema and literature, history and geography, typical food, curiosities, bonus questions.
Every spin of the wheel was matched to a question about a certain topic, to which the team who had spinned the wheel had to answer. The only exception was the category “bonus question” to which both teams could answer. The teams had to decide which one of their members had to answer the question, proposing themselves through the Zoom chat. The first one could answer the question: if he or she got it wrong, the turn would have passed to the other team.
I, as RL, was the “host” of the night and the event and I had much fun and I am sure, as many of them told us, that the Erasmus students enjoyed the event too.
