participants
The goal of this event is to engage participants in a visual and anthropological exploration of the Sydhavnskvarteret neighborhood in Aarhus. Through a guided photo walk, participants will be encouraged to interact with the urban environment and discover hidden elements of the city
Join us for the next photo adventure at Sydhavnskvarteret!
What to Expect:
The event is a visual-anthropological quest.
You'll be presented with a series of questions, the answers to which lie somewhere between your personal experiences and the urban environment surrounding you. You'll search for elements that evoke feelings of home and for those proudly proclaiming "Aarhus," for endemic plants, and for architectural marvels.
Before the walk, we'll briefly discuss the neighborhood, and afterward, we'll gather again to reflect on and document the experience.
About the Project:
Postcards from Aarhus is a series of photo walks that introduce participants to the city and encourage them to interact with it and walk where they—maybe—have never walked before. The series is flexible—join for one, a few, or all of them (stay tuned for the schedule)! It was crafted by photographer Katharina Ya and supported by UAC.
You are invited!
The project is primarily designed for Aarhus newcomers who want to explore and connect with the city. But everyone curious is welcome to join.
Meeting Point:
Frontløberne, Jægergårdsgade 154, 8000 Aarhus
