Goal of the Activity
We wanted the participants of the tour to get an understanding of the situation in Belarus, a perspective on other experiences with migration that are maybe very different from their own and on how important freedom, democracy and diversity is for young people likes Yauheni and us.
Description
We organised this tour together with querstadtein e.V., a non-profit organisation that brings together interested groups with tour guides to tell stories about their own experiences with homelessness & migration. Our guide was Yauheni, a Belarusian student activist, who showed us Berlin from his own perspective. Yauheni was forced to flee Belarus and found a new home here, in a city with many unexpected similarities with his hometown Minsk.
