South Moravia Trip

We prepared a trip to South Moravia, the first stop we took was Velehrad and a great basilic of Assumption of Mary and saints Cyril and Metodej, then we walked to the outdoor camp from the 9th century in Modrá, there we had a chance to learn how to write down our name in Hlaholice alphabet. There we could also see an exhibition underwater called Ziva Voda. The next stop was in Uherské Hradiště to see the town center and the Street food festival, that was just happening there. The accommodation was prepared in Milotice, and from there we took a ride to the wine cellar in the Wine cellars region called Šidleny. In the cellar, the owner let us try different types of his own wine and spoke about the process of wine-making and its history in this region. The next day we had a chance to take a commented tour through the baroque chateau of Milotice, from there we traveled to Kyjov, where we walked through the center of the town. Our last stop was in the Internment camp in Svatoborice-Mistrin to see the reality of World War II.
