We wanted to watch a film together that would combine following concepts: unity, music and persistance; "Whiplash" was one of our choices, among others. Also we wanted to open a discussion and raise awareness on the fact that one can come out stronger even from the highest psychological stress.
Initally we used our Instagram account to ask which movie our International Students wanted to watch together. The day after we looked at the results and Whiplash took the most votes. We then opened a Netflix Party, free function of almost every browser if you have a Netflix account. The choice of the date was the biggest roadblock in the project - on the 18th of May restrictions in Italy were lowered and people could go out again. So the participation in our Netflix party was low, but of quality. After we closed the Netflix Party we continued to talk privately about the movie, music and at one point we were discussing hearing disabilities in connection to the world of music.
