The aim of Musica senza etichetta – È fatto giorno (Music without labels – Daybreak) is to create a free, inclusive and unconventional space where young artists can express themselves without constraints, promoting creativity, experimentation and authenticity. The initiative aims to give visibility to emerging talents in the area, encouraging the encounter between different art forms – music, theatre, dance and audiovisual arts – and promoting an open and dynamic culture capable of generating new connections.
At the same time, the event aims to strengthen the sense of community through concrete actions of solidarity: thanks to the collaboration with Magazzini Sociali, the evening sought to transform cultural participation into a gesture of support for the most vulnerable families, combining art and social commitment in a single shared journey.
On 8 November, the Teatro Stabile in Potenza hosted Musica senza etichetta – È fatto giorno (Music without labels – Daybreak), an event organised by the ESN Sui Generis Basilicata association and part of the “Musicasenzaetichetta” project. Conceived as a space for free musical, artistic and performative expression, the event draws inspiration from the dawn evoked in Rocco Scotellaro's 1954 poetry collection È fatto giorno: a symbol of new light, creative rebirth, and young energies that emerge and assert themselves outside the more traditional circuits. The evening offered a rich interweaving of artistic languages: Gommalacca Teatro accompanied the audience with intense and meaningful monologues. The musical performances by the band and artists from Basilicata brought original, authentic sounds rooted in the territory to the stage. The short film Chi ten'i col was screened, offering a narrative moment of strong emotional impact. The hip hop performances by the Metamorfosi Dance Centre added movement, style and creative fusion. The entire initiative was accompanied by a strong spirit of solidarity: thanks to the collaboration with Magazzini Sociali, each participant was invited to bring a long-life food item to donate to families in need. The response was significant, allowing 52 kg of food to be collected.
Musica senza etichetta – È fatto giorno thus confirmed itself as an event that brings together art, community and solidarity, combining different forms of expression in a single free, inclusive and label-free space, in the name of creativity and collective participation.
