The main aim of this event was to show the target groups (ESNrs and international students) how ESN works internally and also soft skills, competences and resources that could be useful for their professional, volunteering and personal development. We wanted the participants to not only take in information, but also for them to participate and provide good practices and learnings.
Also, as other objectives, we tried to introduce international students to ESN so they could join the association in their own countries, we wanted our volunteers to become aware of how our attitude and manners can affect the relationship among members and how task are done, we also tried to show how important it is to respect and help our environment and many other important matters which we went through our workshops.
ESN UAB Barcelona organized a weekend long training event, but this edition was rather different than the previous ones. This time, our international students were also invited to this event. We managed to gather ESNrs (the organizing commitee, seniors and newbies) and international students in order to learn from one another, as well as from the workshops that we organised and delivered. The participants were very pleased with the event’s takeaways. This was the first training event that we hosted where international students actively participated.
