Goal of the Activity

The aim of the international Feast & Fun event is first and foremost to give all participants the opportunity to learn about other cultures. In contrast to the international dinner convention, ‘fun’ also plays an important role here, because in addition to delicious food from different corners of the world, participants will also be playing childhood games that differ between countries and cultures.

Description

“International Feast & Fun” was a vibrant celebration of cultures from different countries and backgrounds, organized as a part of Social Impact Days. Each participant prepared food, which brings back beautiful memories from their home countries. Gathered around, we enjoyed a feast of mouth-watering delicacies while sharing stories about how these dishes were made. From Polish pierogi through various desserts, Greek salads, German potatoes salads to Portuguese quiches. Everyone could find something just perfect for them. After that, there was time for the Ethnic Games part. Participants introduced ethnic games from their cultures, explaining the rules and traditions behind them, which was the perfect opportunity to learn about both new cultures and spend fun time together. It was a great opportunity to connect, share and experience the diversity of cultures through food and games. With a turnout that huge, all the food was gone from the table in a blink of an EYE.
