Erasmus in Schools

The event took place in Tomar, Portugal on the 3rd of March 2022 during the cultural week organized by “Agrupamento de Escolas Templários”. A session of one-hour duration was held with students from the 12th grade of a local high school.
During the session, members of ESN Tomar introduced the Erasmus+ program, and mobility opportunities and presented ESN to a group of local high school students. Following, Erasmus students shared their mobility experience, and finally to end the session everyone participated
in an activity of Kahoot, a game-based learning platform, whereas they were asked questions about the whole presentation and eventually the winners were invited to participate in planning an ESN Tomar event for the Erasmus students
The event had a short duration of one hour. Within this period, a google form of the participant's expectations of the event was shared followed by a presentation and a video of a local event as well as a Kahoot interactive quiz session. Finally, the feedback from the participants was gathered by a Google form.
The participants were able to get a closer view of the Erasmus+ program and how ESN functions on local, national, and international levels. Students have also got the chance to hear Erasmus students sharing their experience and how ESN played a role in making it better. In addition, students reacted positively to the quiz game at the end of the session and the majority answered the questions right.
The session was short, however effective. ESN Tomar was able to pass the information and achieve the goal of the event which is getting the high school students to become more familiar with the Erasmus+, ESN, and mobility and/or opportunities.
