Goal of the Activity

The Erasmus National Games (ENG) are meant to be the biggest sporting event organised in Portugal for international students.

ENG is organised by ESN Portugal and it gethers around 200 youngsters from around the world. This event is designed to celebrate diversity and the Erasmus programme and it is located in the heart of Portugal, the historical university city of Coimbra.

ENG will have different actions to promote healthy and responsible lifestyles The event will be designed to be environmentally friendly, through the Mobility for Environmental Sustainability and Health - MESH  - project.

Mobility for Environmental Sustainability and Health, MESH, is a project created by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Portugal in the year of 2019/2020. This project aims at fostering sustainable habits within the volunteers of the Federation and international students, through the creation of self-development opportunities and implementing crucial changes to the practices of our national events. MESH is strictly connected with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3,4, 12 and 13.

Are you into sports? ⚽🏐🏀

From the 17th to the 19th of November, the city of Coimbra will host the most awaited sports event for exchange students in Portugal: the Erasmus National Games 2023!

Between football, volleyball and basketball, we have in store for you a weekend full of sports, well-being and hangouts with new international friends from all over Portugal and its ESN sections.

The three winning teams from each sport will represent Portugal in the International Erasmus Games in Poland, where they will compete against the other ESN countries!

The Erasmus National Games 2023 is organized by Erasmus Student Network Portugal - ESN Portugal.
