Goal of the Activity

The event's main goal is to promote the practice of a healthy lifestyle and intercultural understanding, cooperation and inclusion, having  the competition as the main activity. It also has a cultural aspect in which the objective is to show the city of Coimbra, known in Portugal as the “city of students”, to the participants and the international student community. A guided visit to the Biblioteca Joanina, a beautiful and historic library, was also given as an opportunity to the participants.

The purpose of the competition is for the winner to represent ESN Portugal at the International Erasmus Games. The ENG are a good opportunity to foster an active and healthy life during mobility periods, with the local organizations preparing their own Local Trials.

It’s also an opportunity for ESN Portugal and its associated local members to create new partnerships and strengthen relationships with already existing ones, such as the University of Coimbra.
