Each semester, our “most beautiful” ESN section organizes a weekend teambuilding called Buddy Weekend (referred to as BW) as a reward for Buddy activities for CTU students consisting in helping newly arriving foreign students for an exchange stay. This semester, the theme of BW was the expedition to slain the dragon to the Jizera Mountains.
Our expedition began on Friday when we sharpened our weapons, polished our armour, divided into companies and set out on a horse-drawn carriage (train) in the footsteps of a dragon. Unfortunately, the horses got scared and ran away as we approached the dragon's lair, so we had no choice but to walk the rest of the way. However, the journey was strenuous, long, and most importantly, constantly uphill! I must note that all the retinue eventually successfully arrived, though tired, in front of the dragon's lair and set up a camp.
The next day, the final preparations for the slaying took place. The heroic teams set up hiding places from the dragon as a precaution, should the unlikely situation occur in which the dragon defeated them. They applied war colours, had their painter paint their future heroic monument, if they could no longer be a living model, and hooray for the dragon!
On the third day, when everyone was still celebrating a successful expedition, we set off on the way home. Fortunately, the horse-drawn carriage could already arrive at the camp, so the return trip was very relieving.
