The main objective of the "Baptism of the Sea" is to provide Erasmus students with an educational and engaging experience that introduces them to the seabed and helps them understand the importance of the sea, sports, and sustainability in the Sicilian seas. Through this scuba diving experience, we aim to inspire a newfound appreciation for the marine environment and promote responsible behaviors toward ocean conservation.
The "Baptism of the Sea" event is an exciting opportunity for Erasmus students to discover the secrets of the seabed and understand the importance of the sea, sports, and sustainability in the Sicilian seas.
During this first experience, participants will have the chance to immerse themselves in the underwater world through their first full scuba diving lesson, complete with tank, wetsuit, and equipment. In groups of ten students at a time, they will explore the seabed up to a depth of five meters, getting a taste of the beauty and richness of Sicily's marine world.
