The goal of this activity is to promote well-being while abroad. ESN Porto and Euro Youth Mental Health, the only European-wide organisation dedicated to improving the mental health support of young people, teamed up to create a safe space to have an honest conversation. Many of our International Students feel alone or excluded while on Erasmus, with this activity we addressed the topic of inclusion and debated in a safe space among ourselves how we could contribute to promote a more inclusive experience for our International Students, and what steps they could take to feel like they are a part of something bigger and participate in the local community.
During this activity, we proposed a few round table debates with the participants. There was a informal roundtable online where a former Erasmus student, a European Solidarity Corps volunteer, and a young professional in different countries briefly shared their joys and struggles, and best advice. We briefly explained the goals of the activity and allowed the participants to gather in Breakout Rooms to discuss and conclude regarding the topic of Social Inclusion and mental Well-being during their mobility.
