Goal of the Activity

Yet another Women’s Day is around the corner and we cannot celebrate it the way it should be celebrated But we have decided to do a small get-together to not let this special day slide by. If you want to hear some inspiring TED Talks about empowering women and would like to spend the evening chatting with us, do not hesitate to join!

Description

We will look at the following TED Talks (but are also open for suggestions):

1. The price of shame by Monica Lewinsky

Summary:

In this TED Talk, Monica Lewinsky talks about the consequences she had to deal with after falling in love with the wrong person. She speaks about the shaming she had to endure and how it still affects her to this day.

2: Teach girls bravery, not perfection by Reshma Saujani

Summary:

Reshma Saujani talks about how our society is equally distributed and how people need to start raising girls and boys equally.

3. Why we must empower women around the globe by Maria Bello

No summary needed, the title says it all!

You can also write us your suggestions :)

Don't worry, all proposed TED Talks are available in English with (at least) English subtitles.
