The goal of the activity was to show the international students the natural heritage of the Boboli Garden, while pointing out the importance of urban nature and parks
We gathered in Piazza De' Pitti, right in front of the entrance to Palazzo Pitti and Boboli's Garden. Since it was the first sunday of the month, all tickets were free, making it easier for the students to afford such activity.
We walked thourgh the park, admiring the landscape, the biodiversity and the art. We also brifly explained the history of the Garden and its importance today. After the tour we then relaxed in the park. Lastly, in order to see the sun set over Florence, we walked from Boboli to San Miniato, an incredible church at the top of the hills surrounding Florence. There we admired togheter the sunset.
