Goal of the Activity

Our Goal is to introduce to our International Students how Carnival is being celebrated in Greece. TsiknoThursday is the day that the Carnival begins and the Greeks are having barbeques, listening to carnival and party-music and of course wearing carnival costumes.

Furthermore, we want the Erasmus students to meet each other, to meet us, meet our culture.

Overall, the most important for us it to feel the International Students part of the local community.

Description

Tsiknothursday is the beginning of the carnival season in Greece. Tsiknopempti (meaning Charred-Thursday) is the day that marks the start of the carnival by having large BBQs, dressing up in carnival costumes and of course having a lot of fun.

Our event will start at 13:00 on the 24/2/22 and will finish at 20:00 on the same day. We will be offering to the International students traditional drinks and food (tzatziki and souvlaki) for a particular fee.  We will be having music and we will be dressed up with carnival costumes.
