Stereotype And Culture Event

Everyone at the event had to wear something related to a negative or positive stereotype to do with their culture. One by one, everyone came up to the microphone and we had everyone guess where we thought they were from based on what they were wearing. They then explained the stereotype they were dressed as, along with whether is was accurate or not. We then discussed the impact of stereotypes and how generalisations should be avoided. Everyone also got the opportunity to talk about their own culture. After everyone did this, everyone was then given time to ask questions to those that they hadn't yet talked to - this sparked a lot of conversations on cultures and biases.
