This seminar aimed at having a voice over the whole society for all of the victims of the street harassment. This education also aimed that giving lots of information about the topic with examples. This was a very helpful education for all of us,who participated the education, in terms of increasing the awareness on this topic.
As street harassment is a global problem,we wanted to have a collaboration with Bogazici University's corporate department and L'oreal Paris.Most of us want to do something to helpbut don’t know what to do or how to go about it. There is the fear of danger – the person may be aggressive or a threat to one’s personal safety. We might even think that it is none of our business. Thanks to this collaboration,we got knowledged about what we can do when we are the witnesses while someone is harassed or we're the harassed ones. We learned 5 main stages of the process of how we should act and behave during a street harassment (while on the bus,on the queue,in the market etc.) .We learned how to stand up to the street harassment thanks to this education
