As ESN Trabzon, we participated in a special event with our colleagues from ESN Samsun and ESN Erciyes. It was aimed at promoting cultural sharing, building stronger ties within ESN community and seeing Samsun's unique charms.
During the event, our members had the opportunity to taste some of the cuisine of Samsun, including the famous pide and Çakallı menemen. A small tour of Samsun's famous landmarks also provided an enriching and unforgettable experience.
As well as introducing our members to local culture and cuisine, it also aimed to strengthen ties among ESN sections. We hope to build lasting friendships and promote a spirit of unity within the Erasmus community by sharing our traditions and exploring Samsun together.
Our unforgettable event began with tasting the delicious Çakallı menemen, a local special. With this delicious breakfast in hand, we set off on a cultural journey through the Samsunmuseet, where history and art intertwine seamlessly. Afterwards, a stroll through the picturesque Batı Park and a climb up the enchanting Amisos Hill offered breathtaking views and invigorating nature.
The famous Bafra pide, a culinary masterpiece that left our guests in awe, was enjoyed after these delightful outdoor activities. This was followed by a leisurely stroll along the picturesque coastline, enjoying the tranquillity of the seaside. Lastly, in the evening we ended our trip in a cosy pub, where friendly darts and table football competitions fostered camaraderie and social interaction in a lively atmosphere.
