Goal of the Activity

An introduction to a piece of Polish culture in Poznań

Description

November 11th is known in Poznań not because of Independence Day, but rather for another regional holiday close to the hearts of Poznań citizens. Every year on this day, St. Martin's Days are celebrated – a regional festival promoting the culture of our city. As part of this day, we attended the St. Martin's Parade, during which a fair of regional products took place, along with a procession featuring the traditional handing over of the keys to the city, numerous attractions, contests, and animations showcasing the culture of our country and region in practice.

During the march, students had the opportunity to taste many traditional products characteristic of our country – such as bigos, oscypek, or St. Martin's croissants. This was a great opportunity for practicing Polish culture alongside local residents and promoting the holiday in the international community.
