People are prejudiced against topics they are uneducated on. This is why it is important to spread awareness about issues that are completely normal, yet so eclipsed. Therefore, the main goal of our monthlong campaign is to educate about LGBT+ issues. Not only do we want to present general information about every subgroup of the LGBT community (e.g. trans people, asexual people), but we are willing to address harmful stereotypes, dispel the myths and show people representing every group in the mainstream media.
Pride Month is celebrated every June. It is the time of learning and focusing on the topic of the LGBT+ community. ESN PK is willing to participate in building strong, open-minded society free from prejudice and hatred. Every day of the campaign is focused on another topic related to the queer community. We are sharing reliable information about every letter included in the LGBTQ+ acronym whilst presenting hurtful misconceptions that are still in existence. We make sure to show societal diversity while explaining comprehensively every aspect associated with different sexual orientations and gender identities. We strongly believe that educating is the key to break harmful stereotypes and fighting discrimination.
