The activities provided an opportunity for volunteers from ESN and Erasmus students to come together, bond, and form meaningful connections. By engaging in sports and sharing snacks, participants could break the ice and get to know each other in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
As everyone arrived at the picturesque location we put down some colorful blankets spread out across the grass, forming a cozy spot for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. With participants hailing from various countries and backgrounds, the picnic served as a platform for cultural exchange. Through conversations, sharing of food, and experiencing different sports, attendees could learn about each other's cultures, traditions, and perspectives.
By organizing sports activities like spike ball and volleyball, the event promoted physical activity and healthy living. Encouraging participants to engage in active play fostered a sense of well-being and encouraged them to incorporate physical exercise into their daily routines.
Also, the location was an iconic spot of Trento, famous for its monument to Cesare Battisti.
The day kicked off with some high-energy sports activities. Spike ball was a definite highlight, with teams of eager players diving and spiking with all their might. Volleyball was another favorite, with teams forming spontaneously and friendly competitions heating up the atmosphere.
Between games, laughter filled the air as participants bonded over shared experiences and cultural exchanges. The volunteers had brought along a variety of snacks to share. From homemade treats to store-bought goodies, there was something for everyone to munch on.
But the beauty of the picnic was that it wasn't just about what the volunteers brought. Everyone was encouraged to contribute, embodying the spirit of sharing and caring. Some brought traditional dishes from their home countries, while others shared local delicacies they had discovered during their time in Trento.
