The main goal of this activity is to encourage international students who are currently staying in the Czech Republic to be physically active and motivated towards healthy lifestyle.
The event started off on Friday with arrivals and a small hangout, where participants could meet and get to know each other. We spent the whole Saturday playing volleyball, futsal, and basketball matches, but also there was a running competition according to the IEG rulebook. In the evening we hosted a pub quiz for participants – the winners could get some cool ESN CZ merch. On Sunday there were play-offs and we got to know the best teams in each sport – ESN CU Prague won the basketball match, ESN Zlín was the best at futsal and ESN VSE excelled in volleyball. The winners will represent their universities and the Czech Republic at the IEG in Madrid.
The National Erasmus Games event was also a great opportunity to meet fellow exchange students and to have fun competing against people from other universities. The teams were mixed and therefore inclusive for everybody who was interested in playing. We believe students enjoyed the event and made friendships and memories that will last forever.
