By organising this activity we aimed to cover our major goal as well as couple of smaller ones. Firstly, we wanted to promote student mobility and it's impact on young people lives. Secondly, we wanted to present students of our University student exchanges supported and internships by Politechnika Krakowska, to honestly answered their frequently asked questions. Finally, we wanted to share conclusions of our volunteers, who took part in student exchange with Erasmus+ Programme - to make the whole experience seem more human and student friendly.
The organisation of this event was in hands of our President, since she is responsible for Education & Youth initiatives. She created an outline and action plan of this whole event. Mobility Day is an annual event organized by ESN PK for polish students from Politechnika Krakowska. This year was our 4th edition. Because of pandemic, the whole event was held online, on platform provided by our University. Despite that it was the first time, that we organized something as big as this event in online environment, it went smoothly. W managed to invite 3 university representatives who presented the mobility-themed presentations - 1. about recrutation proces on faculties, 2. about Erasmus+ Programme exchanges and internships and formalities of application process, 3. student exchanges to countries without Erasmus+ Programme (in Asia, Americas, Australia, etc.). We also held a colaboration with another student organisation from our University - IAESTE. Their spokeperson made presentation about international student practices and internships that they are organizing. On the coure of this event we also provided students with presentations made directly by ESN volunteers - about their experiences during their mobility periods. We managed to cover both student exchanges and internships, as well as countries: Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain and Portugal. These presentations were mostly describing the culture of their destinations, formalities before they went on Erasmus and after their return, the housing, the education, the student life, and they also provided tips for outgoing students.
