Description
This Tuesday 17th January we took erasmus and our members to the wild region of Barbagia, to discover the most ancient traditions of pagan Carnival.
The trip is divided in 2 parts:
1-A walk in the mountain to reach Sanctuary of Mount Gonare 2 hours and half, lunch and way back included. Wonderful viewpoint after a nice walk in the forest.
2-Fires of Saint Anthony Abbott the beginning of Carnival in Sardinia is something very archaic... We'll see the parade of famous masks (Mamuthones and Issohadores) along the burning alleys of Mamoiada.
