Goal of the Activity

Goal of the activity was to show international students natural heritage of Slovakia. Except nature we also focused on intercultural differences between Czech Republic and Slovakia like the language, cuisine, or habits. One of the goals was to show international students that also by sustainable option of traveling like the public transport is, it is possible to reach really magical destinations.

Description

Our international students had an amazing opportunity to visit Malá Fatra mountain range in Slovakia. The trip was three days long, two days we spent by hiking peaks of Veľký and Malý Rozsutec, climbing ladders and bridges along breath-taking waterfalls and of course enjoying beautiful views of the mountains.  One whole day we spent in Slovak village by visiting some sights and local restaurant where we tried typical Slovak meal Halušky. During our stay we were accommodated in a small cottage, where we were spending evenings by trying local food, beverages and talking about different topics, one of them the Cultural differences between Czech Republic and Slovakia. Students knew, that in the past they were one country, so they had many tricky questions. On our trip, we were using mainly public transport to show our students, that it is possible to visit such a beautiful places by different means of transport than just car.
