Goal of the Activity

The Local Boards' Meeting is the annual meeting of the local boards of ESN Greece's sections, which takes place at the beginning of each new academic year. The main goals of the event are:

  • To get in touch with the national level of ESN Greece.
  • To be informed about the events of both ESN Greece and ESN International.
  • To discuss and strategise around important issues that mainly concern ESN Greece.
  • To be trained on issues of interest to local presidencies (eg administration, external representation, etc.)
  • To exchange good practices and get closer to each other.
Description

The event took place in Ioannina, Epirus, and was the result of a fruitful collaboration between two sections from the western region of Greece — ESN Ioannina and ESN Western Macedonia. This joint effort not only strengthened the bonds between the two sections but also served as a great example of inter-sectional cooperation within ESN Greece. By combining our resources, ideas, and experiences, we were able to deliver an impactful event, ultimately contributing to the growth of the network at the national level. The agenda and the Facilitators were coordinated by the event's Content Team, comprised of 3 members, including the National Training Coordinator, the National Treasurer and the National Partnership Manager. The participants were members from various local boards of ESN Greece's local sections and volunteers interested in applying for their sections' local boards.

The Local Boards' Meeting 2024 was greatly supported by the Europe Direct of Epirus and the University of Ioannina, whose support was vital to the organization of the event. In the same time, the strong collaboration we have established with them was also highlighted. The event was supported by 16 both local and national businesses allowing us to showcase local foods, products and services, supporting in this way our city.
