The aim of this activity is to know other languages and cultures
The University’s Language Centre, in collaboration with the ESN L'Aquila, has been organizing the language tandem for several years. The initiative is addressed to all students of the University of L'Aquila, the GSSI (Gran Sasso Science Institute), the Academy of Fine Arts, the Conservatory and in general to all those who are interested. The language tandem consists of meetings between two or more students of different nationalities, in which alternating their language with the language of the companion, is possible not only improve own language skills but also get closer to the other culture. This year, because of the Covid-19, the linguistic tandem took place online on the Microsoft Teams platform. On 4th November, the first preliminary meeting was held by the professors of the University language centre and a member of Aquilasmus that presented this project to the students enrolled. In the following meetings, were created rooms on Microsoft Teams depending on the various languages chosen by the students. The rooms were: English and Italian, French and Italian, Spanish and Italian.
And more, at the end of the Linguistic TeleTandems, for those who took part in all meetings could receive 2 ECTS
