The primary objective of this trip to Lake Como is to provide an enriching experience that combines natural beauty with cultural exploration. The trip aims to deepen the understanding and appreciation of Northern Italian culture, history, and the breathtaking landscapes of the Lombardy region.
Organized by ESN Lugano, Lake Como Trip offers students a dynamic exploration of the region with a vibrant day-long adventure in the enchanting Lake Como region. This excursion is meticulously crafted to showcase the diverse facets of this iconic Italian destination in a single day. The journey includes a variety of activities, ensuring that participants experience both the natural splendor and cultural richness of Lake Como.
The day starts with an immersive tour of Como, where students will explore the city's notable landmarks, including its charming squares, ancient architecture, and the majestic Como Cathedral.
After these initial explorations, we divided this experience into 2 options:
a)
A key highlight of this option is a visit to the Museum of Volta, dedicated to Alessandro Volta, a scientist born in Como and the inventor of the electric battery.
Following the museum visit, the group will enjoy a relaxing picnic in the scenic surroundings of Villa Olmo a perfect setting for a leisurely lunch and enjoying the serene lakeside ambiance.
The adventure continues with a journey up to Como on the Brunate cable car. This ride offers spectacular panoramic views of the city and the lake
Once at the top, participants can capture memorable photos.
The day concludes with an aperitif to enjoy moments with all participants of this adventure.
b)
The journey then shifts to a thrilling fast boat ride to Bellagio,
Upon arrival in Bellagio, participants will have the chance to wander through its charming streets, visit local shops, and explore the town's hidden gems.
The day ends with a leisurely cruise back to Como where participants will share an aperitif together with all the participants
