The activity aims to strengthen team bonds, promote cooperation, and uphold the core values our section is built on. It’s designed to motivate both Newbies and current Active members to stay engaged and involved, while also fostering the inclusion of our international members. As a reward for everyone’s contributions, including the Board, the weekend is free of responsibilities, allowing all participants to fully enjoy the shared experience and connect on an equal level.
This semester, our section hosted a unique Teambuilding Weekend inspired by The Hunger Games. Designed to bring together Newbies, Active members, and the Board, the event combined immersive storytelling, teamwork challenges, and the spirit of the ESN community. It was a space where diverse groups cooperated, learned from one another, and shared experiences across cultures and roles within the section.
Friday began with themed icebreakers and introductory games that set the tone for the weekend’s storyline. Participants were divided into "Districts," where they started forming alliances, learning to work together, and uncovering hidden strengths within their teams. Saturday continued with creative missions and a mix of outdoor and indoor activities focused on the ESN Causes.
The final day, Sunday, was dedicated to reflection and feedback, followed by a collective cleanup that reinforced the idea of shared responsibility and care for our environment.
The entire event was conducted in English to ensure inclusivity, with participants and organizers and our primary aim was to strengthen interpersonal bonds, improve collaboration, and reinforce the core values of our section. The weekend not only helped newcomers feel welcomed and inspired to become Active members, but also reignited motivation among existing ones. A key focus was also on creating space for international members to share their cultures and traditions, which added depth and richness to the entire experience.
