Goal of the Activity

Did you ever want to experience Vienna by night from your bike or skates? 🌃🚴🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️Join the Friday night skating where we ride through the city on streets that are closed to cars.

Description

During Friday night skating 1000s of skaters and bikers meet each other at Heldenplatz in front of Hofburg to join each other on a tour through the city. For this event, they close the streets (on the tour) for the motorized vehicles, like the Ring and other big streets. Friday night skating is free for everybody and everybody is welcome to join! You just have to get a bike or skates on your own.

Here we have helpful guides where you can get those:

Renting a bike

Renting Skates

🕒 When: 30.05.23. 8pm
📍 Where: Heldenplatz

No registration needed,

What to bring?

  • Bike or inline skates
  • A water bottle!
  • Do not forget lights for the bike, they are mandatory in the dark, a helmet is also a good idea
  • You can bring a small speaker so you have music while driving or some pretty light so you look amazing

A few rules and tips

  • You can only go with bikes and skates. People with E-Scooters, Skateboards, Longboards and similar stuff cannot join the group
  • Listen to the “Rolling guards” and follow their instructions
  • No drinking alcohol while driving
  • We will go as a group and you have to keep up. With the bike the tempo is moderate and easy to keep up with. If you go with inline skates, please be aware that the tempo can be a bit tough. You can always leave the group on your own if it is too fast for you.
  • Cyclists ride on the right, keep distance from the skaters.

Looking forward to biking and skating with you!
