The goal of the activity was to encourage participants to connect with Wrocław on a personal level, finding places that bring them a sense of familiarity and try to help them feel more comfortable being so far away from their loved ones. By exploring the city participants could discover unique spots, improve their photography skills, and capture meaningful images that reflect their own experiences and memories. This helped create a sense of community among international students a deeper connection to their temporary home in Wrocław.
This photo contest encourages participants to explore Wrocław and capture a place that reminds them of home. Whether it’s a cozy café, a familiar street, or a hidden corner that brings back memories, participants can photograph a location that feels like "home" and share the story behind it. To support this, a photo walk event was organized, where participants visited locations that might evoke a sense of home, with guidance from our Discover Europe coordinator and our section photographers to help them capture memorable shots.
