Greece
participants
Familiarise Erasmus students with local businesses, local products, and what locals often eat when out and about. As it is a walking tour of the city, students also get to see the city and perhaps walk on streets tourists not often walk to. Also, students get to visit businesses that cooperate with ESN and get informed of any discounts their ESN card can provide there, motivating them to use their esn card.
The event starts in an open public area where the participating erasmus students are divided into groups of ~16 people. There are Vegan/vegetarian groups and non-vegan ones. The participants are lead by two esn volunteers through the city, stopping by at local stores to sample local products, including traditional food, sweets, as well as other snacks that are popular with the locals. Each group follows its own route from shop to shop, and eventually they all converge in another open space where they are given one last sweet treat before the event concludes.
