ESN Kiel Teambuilding Trip im Umwelthaus Maasholm

We usually organize such weekend trips twice a year to promote a strengthened connection among the members of our local section, create a supportive team spirit and a better consciousness of our collective goals. Furthermore, we aim to develop new skills and gain knowledge during several workshops. 

The workshops targeted different topics - ranging from ideas to improve our work as a local ESN section to learning new individual skills. They were planned and held by board members as well as active members from within our team. The focus of the social programme was the strengthening of the team so that everyone would get to know each other better and create a supportive team spirit. This was especially important as we recruited a lot of new members in September / October and found ourselves confronted with the task of connecting “oldies” and “newbies” as well as the “knowledge-transfer”.  In general, we tried to enhance teamwork, communication and problem solving within the trip.

• ESN 101 (including a presentation about ESN Kiel and the organization of the whole network)
• Event Brainstorming and explanation of our event checklist (to improve internal workflows of event planning)
• Open Space Workshop (development of ideas for new projects in smaller project groups)
• Workshop on Discrimination and Awareness
• Team Dance (creation of a choreography for a new Team Dance)
• Mental Health and Volunteering
• Progressive Muscle Relaxation 

Social programme:

• Surprise Cooking Contest
• Quiz on ESN enhancing the members’ knowledge of our local, national and international structure, the causes of ESN etc.
