Goal of the Activity

Our main goal with this activity is to help the student to overcome some barriers they might have about the process of applying to an Erasmus Program, by explaining and clarifying, with first-hand testimonies of students that have been through that.

Description

Our Erasmus in Schools projet happened on the 11th March 2022, at 11 :30am. We took 4 Erasmus students and 1 ESN Covilhã members to Escola Secundária Quinta das Palmeiras, in Covilhã, to talk about the process of applying to an Erasmus Program, the difficulties faced and important deadlines.

Here’s the order of the topics to address during the session:

  1. What is the process of applying to an Erasmus Program ?
  2. What were the main difficulties faced during the application period ?
  3. When should I start applying to an Erasmus Program ?
  4. Where can I do my Erasmus Program ?
  5. What is it like to do an Erasmus Program ?
  6. Advice I should take from someone that already did/is doing an Erasmus Program.

We hope we motivated high school students to do an Erasmus Program at least once throughout their academic path and promote mobility amongst teenagers and young adults. It’s important for us to show them that the process of application is not as hard as they might think it is and, by giving them real first-hand testimonies, we encourage and excite them do to so later in their lives.
