The goal of the activity was to present our organization marking our beliefs, our achievements and our main aim as a no-profit organization all together with an insight towards the concept of Europe and European Union by also including the themes of travelling, stereotypes and cultural differences.
Since we were presenting to an elementary school, we tried to make the event as more interactive as possible. We started introducing the concept of travel asking the children to share with us their stories fo travelling abroad. From this point on we began to talk about Europe and the European Union with the help of mini games in between where they had to guess the foreign person in every photo and guess their country of origin. It was helpful in order to also introduce the theme of stereotypes and then cultural differences.
The last part was focused on the volunteers sharing their experiences as echanged students aborad and to answer the curious questons of the different classes of the school.
