The goal of this activity was to provide Erasmus students with a unique cultural and natural experience in Turkey, allowing them to explore scenic landscapes, learn about local history, and strengthen connections with fellow participants through shared outdoor activities.
The Efeler Yolu Hiking event, organized in colloboration with the International Relations Office, offered students a rich journey into Turkey's natural beauty and cultural heritage. Participants began their day at Ege University and traveled to Çamlık village to start the 28th stage of Efeler Trail. The hike followed the olive road and forest paths, leading to the historic site of Meryemana (House of Virgin Mary), where students explored the area with a professional licensed guide. Afterward, participants traveled by bus to the charming village of Şirince, one of İzmir's most picturesque locations, and enjoyed free time to explore the village, relax and socialize. The event combined physical activity, cultural exploration, and social interaction, creating memorable experiences and opportunities for participants to connect with both the region and each other.
