The goal was to train the new members of the Coordination sections in order to offer an immersive training with the purpose of improving the acquired knowledge during the local schools and the national one.
Since 2015 the Due Sicilie Coordination School takes place every year, a very important appointment for our coordination because it allows the members of our sections to face the Network for the first time. From the 20th to the 22nd of May the last edition of the Due Sicilie Coordination School took place in Messina, three days of full immersion training. The wonderful team of 6 trainers created a very interesting schedule of workshops and seminars to which a total of 44 volunteers participated. During these training days, the first topics covered were the history of our cooperation and the objectives that we share and the different levels of our national network. Moreover, we centered on the values and the causes of ESN by also analyzing the brand identity, the main steps of the creation an event, the economic aspect of a local section, an in-depth analysis of the HR side of an association focusing on Recruiting onboarding and time-management, and a discussion round about competition regarding all those associations that are not affiliated to ESN. It was not just a face-to-face training but also an interactive session characterized by team-building moments (for example we cooked all together during the breaks and we danced every morning to start the day with great energy and enthusiasm).
