The main goal of this activity is to introduce international students to Istanbul’s historical and cultural heritage while providing them with an authentic local experience. The tour aims to strengthen cultural understanding and create meaningful interactions among participants through exploration and shared experiences.
The Dolmabahçe Palace & Ortaköy Tour was organized to give participants the opportunity to explore one of Istanbul’s most iconic districts, Beşiktaş, where history, culture, and the sea come together. The event started with a guided visit to Dolmabahçe Palace, allowing students to discover its architectural beauty and learn about its historical significance.
After the palace visit, the group continued to Ortaköy, one of Istanbul’s most vibrant neighborhoods, where participants enjoyed a scenic view of the Bosphorus and experienced the local culture firsthand. To complete the day, everyone tasted one of Turkey’s most famous street foods, “kumpir,” adding a delicious touch to the cultural journey.
