Demonstrating the accessibility issues on the Uni Graz campus and raising awareness for fellow students and some challenges in their study lives due to physical disabilities.
Thanks to a cooperation with the students union (ÖH Uni Graz) department for people with disabilities and the support of the Odilien Blindeninstitut we are provided with a wide range of equipment for a great experience with many new insights.
Using walking canes, masks, vision-impairing goggles, and wheelchairs, our incomings have to face tricky challenges on campus.
Afterwards, we have a reflection session to share our impressions.
To end the day, we invite all participants to sharpen their senses and participate at a dinner in the dark with a three-course, low-waste, vegan meal. Traditional Austrian Christmas desserts round up the unique experience. 🎄

In cooperation with the department for people with disabilities of the Austrian Students’ Union we will take you on a very special trip around the main campus, focusing on accessibility. You will face some tricky challenges with your team members when using wheelchairs, walking canes, and special goggles to make the experience as authentic as possible. 👩🦽👨🦯
After the walk, we will gather for a discussion about inclusion and our learnings.💬
🍲To treat ourselves for successfully navigating around campus, we will end the event with a “Dinner in the Dark” where we challenge you to eat an amazing dinner - with blindfolds on. Will you be able to identify our meal and drinks, without even seeing them?
