The main purpose of the activity is the cultural exchange and also the help provided to international students in order to get to know a part of the Romanian culture. Promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation by bringing people from different backgrounds together to share their traditions and to strengthen a sense of community and belonging among participants were some of our objectives.
Moreover, we intended to offer a fun and engaging experience for attendees and create opportunities for individuals from different cultural backgrounds to connect and network, which can lead to increased cultural understanding and collaboration.
Considering the fact that international students were invited to a Romanian cultural evening, a presentation was prepared for them, which included some general information about Bucharest, the capital of Romania and the city where the event took place, some historical facts, as well as information about art and culture. Furthermore, we presented some of the typical Romanian dishes, as well as the most important tourist attractions. Later, we delved into traditions, dances and folklore. This way, we shared with them a part of what Romania represents, encouraging cultural exchange and discussions, and then we invited them to feel in a Kahoot quiz.
We intended to took them on a journey full of folklore and fun!
