The goal of the activity was to make people discover the city in a different way by playing different games and activities and having them fully integrate with the city's history and places.
This exciting city tour wasn't just about sightseeing, it was an immersive experience designed to bring L'Aquila's history and culture to life for our international students.
We embarked on a journey through the city's heart, taking in its most iconic landmarks and monuments. Imagine standing in awe of the majestic Basilica di Santa Maria di Collemaggio, marveling at the intricate details of the Fontana delle 99 Cannelle, or strolling through the historic piazzas lined with bustling cafes and shops.
The tour included several stops, such as : Porta Branconia, San Silvestro Church, Piazza Chiarino, Maxxi, Piazza Regina Margherita, Fontana Luminosa, Forte Spagnolo, Porta Castello, San Bernardino Church, Piazza Palazzo, Piazza Duomo, Villa Comunale, Collemaggio e Parco del Sole.
But this wasn't a passive experience! Throughout the tour, we incorporated engaging games and activities specifically designed to foster connections between our international students, as acting , singing and quiz about L'Aquila and Italy in general. These interactive elements were a fantastic way to break the ice, spark conversations, and create lasting memories.
By the end of the tour, our international students not only gained a deeper appreciation for L'Aquila's beauty and history, but also formed new friendships and a stronger sense of community.
