Pack your sense of adventure and get ready for a day of exploration, stunning landscapes, and cultural discovery on the "Chania & Lake Kournas Adventure!" This day-long trip promises a perfect blend of natural beauty, relaxation, and city exploration.
Programme:
- Meeting Point: We'll start our journey at the iconic Venizelos' Statue in the heart of Heraklion. Get to know your fellow travelers and brace yourself for a day of excitement.
- Rethymno Pickup: We'll make a brief stop in Rethymno to pick up participants eager to join our adventure.
- Lake Kournas: Our first major destination is the picturesque Lake Kournas. Nestled amidst the Cretan landscape, this serene freshwater lake provides a tranquil oasis. You'll have some free time to relax by the water's edge, take in the breathtaking views, and, if you wish, rent a pedal boat to explore the crystal-clear lake waters (additional fee applies).
- Chania City: Next, we'll head to the charming city of Chania, known for its Venetian harbor, vibrant old town, and historical significance. We'll be joined by ESN TUC for a guided tour of this enchanting city, where you'll uncover its hidden gems and rich history.
- Free Time in Chania: After the guided tour, you'll have free time to explore Chania at your own pace. Whether you choose to wander through narrow streets, indulge in local cuisine, or shop for souvenirs, Chania offers endless possibilities for exploration.

Return to Heraklion: As the late afternoon approaches, we'll regroup and make our way back to Heraklion, sharing stories and memories of our unforgettable adventure.

- Swimwear and towel if you plan to take a dip in Lake Kournas
- Camera to capture the beauty of the day
